Advertising Disclosure
PULZE is free for consumers, in part because local businesses pay to promote events and offers on the app. This page explains how sponsored content works and how to identify it.
1. What’s sponsored
- Boosted events get higher placement in Discover and category rails — they’re marked with a boost/featured indicator, but they’re still real events, ranked among real results.
- Ad cards in feeds are labeled “Sponsored” and link to the advertiser’s own page or ticket link.
- Push sponsorships (email notifications from a sponsor) are labeled as sponsored and are subject to the same opt-out controls as any other notification type.
2. What we don’t do
We don’t let advertisers alter event facts (date, time, price) or write fake user content. Sponsored placement affects visibility, not whether an event actually exists or its listed details.
3. Creator partnerships
Posts from ROC Creators that are part of a paid campaign with a business are business content, distinct from a creator’s independent posts — see our User Content Terms for how creator posts are governed.
